These stories were told in one day, in the calm and the natural lighting of the wooded Val d’Orge studio.
The idea for this trio to take an acoustic snapshot was triggered by the German-Serbian double bass player, Sava Medan. For many years he has shared a strong resonance with the German guitarist Karsten Hochapfel, a Parisian by adoption, who introduced him to vocalist Isabelle Gueldry. Native to, and enamored with Paris, the city of all possibilities and of any encounter, she forged the way for making this recording possible. Together, the trio set out to capture this music that is in the moment,alive and organic.
